Safety First
Before operating TRAKKIT please carefully read the following built-in safety features. If you need help understanding any of these features please email [email protected] before use of your machine.
Reset button
The reset button is one of the key controls when operating Trakkit. This button is used when any abnormal operation happens inside Trakkit. It must be used for the following,
After any Emergency Stop activation (manual button press)
After access door has been opened
If the whole machine has been shut down
If any axis goes into overtravel or overload
To clear any faults that may be present
The reset function can be used via the User Interface via the Admin login. Except for any access door switch opening, manual button press will be required to clear the fault.
Emergency Stop Button
Emergency Stop button is to be used when the machine requires immediate shut down in case of interaction with personnel or machine is in danger of damaging itself.
The machine wont be able to be used again until emergency stop button has been released and reset button has been manually reset.
Note: If emergency button is pressed it will only prevent the machine running. Some parts of the machine will still be powered up. Switch main switch to OFF and lockout to ensure machine is completely dead.
Safe Axis Position
Trakkit can move itself to a SAFE position via Admin access on the UI. This can be used prior to accessing inside the container for maintenance work. It will move all axis to the following positions,
Z to a position where the mechanical lock can be engaged
X to furthest position away from the bench
Y to the middle position
A, B and D axis to their lowest position
Safe position is reset by all access doors and switches being closed and reset button pressed.
Main Isolation Switch
This switch will isolate all power from the machine and MUST be switched off when entering the machine. Unless testing is underway. This is the isolation point for personnel locks / tags.
Personnel Door Access Switches
Trakkit uses access switches on the personnel access doors.
When the personnel door is opened the switch is open and the machine immediately stops. The machine can only be reset by manually pressing the reset button from outside the machine. This is to prevent the machine being reset remotely from inside the machine and having the machine move with personnel inside.
Mechanical Lockout
Z and X axis are fitted with mechanical lockout. These prevent the accidental movement of these axis, whether powered or gravity. These locks must be installed prior to any maintenance on the machine axis components.
Cameras for monitoring
Cameras are fitted to the machine. These are used for diagnostics, preventative maintenance as well as security. The camera above the bench is a motion detection camera, it will record for 20 seconds before or after any movement. The footage is stored locally on the machine on a hard drive. Typically it keeps 3 months worth of footage, but this is subject to storage space.
