Troubleshooting

This is for advanced users for more complex trouble shooting tasks.

Trakkit works on commands and sequences that instruct parts of the machine to do certain tasks in a particular order.

Sometimes events happen outside of Trakkit such as power interruption, mechanical failures and component failure. In these instances it may be necessary to reset power, reset sequences or perform repairs. In the table below we have given examples on how best to deal with particular situations.

Machine wont move after power interruption

In the case of a power outage or interruption and the machine was performing a function or in a sequence. When this happens the machine remembers where it is but it doesnt remember what it was doing. (The servos motors have battery memory and will know their location, the PLC (brain) does not remember what it was doing) If the machine has a tub on the cradle it will be necessary to manually put the bin back on the shelf. 1. Press ESTOP and isolate machine. Open personnel door and manually push the gantry as far back as required to be able to access location where tub should be. Lift the tub off the cradle and place back on the shelf. Line the tub up with the tubs around it to get in in the correct location for picking next time. You can use a straight edge for this. 2. Close all doors, reenergise machine. 3. Disengage ESTOP and press reset. 4. Best practice is to manually pick the tub that you put back on the shelf. To make sure it will pick next time. 5. Finished.

Machine stopped in sequence and will not reset

If the machine stops during a function (like picking an order) and it will not reset via the reset button. It maybe necessary to do a sequence reset. This clears all the commands being issued by the PLC (brain). Click here for instructions on performing a sequence reset.
